Where are your products made?
Many of our pieces are made right here on Vancouver Island, Canada in small batches. As our business has grown, we've also partenered with a small group of trusted makers and workshops in India, Turkey and Southeast Asia who help bring parts of our vision to life that we're unable to produce locally. Whenever we work with partners abroad, we do so thoughtfully - choosing small businesses and skilled artisans rather than large-scale factories whenever possible. Even with our international partnerships, production is still done responsibly, in small batches or made to order. Building relationships with the right makers allows us to support craftsmanship around the world while continuing to design and create from our home on the West Coast.
Can I put my Tofino Beach Blanket in the wash?
You sure can and that's one of the reasons we love them so much. Our Tofino Beach Blankets are designed for real adventures, from sandy beach days to sunset bonfires. When it's time for a refresh, simply machine wash cold, hang to dry.
Are your blankets good for the beach?
You bet! Our blankets are designed for real West Coast adventures - beach days, picnics, campings trips, and cozy evenings by the fire. And yes - they're good for indoors too!
Shipping
What shipping carriers do you use?
We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
How long will it take to get my order?
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-10 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. Modest Maverick is not resposible for any delays due to shipping.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Customers outside of Canada are responsible for any duties, tarrifs, customss fees, or import taxes that may be charged by their country upon delivery. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost and are determined by your local customs office.
Returns
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We wish we could but at this time we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Because all of our items are made in small batches and shipping costs can be quite high, it's simply too expensive for our small business to process returns.
That said, we always want you to be happy with your order. If your item arrives defective, please reach out within 7 days of delivery and include a photo of the issue. We'll gladly work with you to make it right.
